Strengthening the Reliability of Our Water System
Liberty’s investments in the water system support you and your family, your health, the health of the community, and future residential and business growth.
Replacing water mains help reduce the risk of water leaks, supports fire protection, and maintains service reliability for Liberty customers.
Replacing miscellaneous well treatment equipment and installing new groundwater wells help maintain a reliable water supply and increase operational efficiency.
Existing water service lines are replaced to maintain reliable water service for customers. This will help minimize service interruptions, reduce the risk of water leaks, and continue to maintain water system operability.
Liberty constructed a building for a well to help reduce noise in the residential neighborhood. While the pump and motor remain the same, the building, pipes, electronics, and other components were replaced and/or upgraded.
Liberty has installed new discharge piping, a new meter, a new pump control valve, and new treatment equipment at Marine Well 02. These upgrades help support customers’ water needs in the Yermo community.
One of the keys to maintaining a safe and reliable water system are new water system valves. These valves help minimize service interruptions and reduce the risk of damages caused by leaks
Exercising fire hydrants helps to identify the hydrants that must be replaced to maintain fire protection for customers. The placement of new fire hydrants is determined by several factors, including the location that best meets fire protection standards.
Installing improvements to reservoirs helps meet updated code requirements. These improvements will also help prevent corrosion to continue providing safe, reliable water service to current and future customers.
