Water, electric, and gas utilities are the backbone of thriving communities. They power our restaurants, manufacturing, stores, and lifestyles. At Liberty, we believe that being a true community partner means investing in the infrastructure that enables growth, prosperity, and comfort for the people and communities we serve.

This summer, Liberty joined forces with local partners in Apple Valley to support the construction of a 1.2 million-square-foot distribution center in the new north side industrial area. Recognizing that safe, reliable water service is essential for new developments, our team got to work building the infrastructure needed to deliver dependable water to the site.

Our work on this project is divided into two phases:

  • Phase 1: Completed at the end of September, this phase saw the installation of 12 new fire hydrants, providing fire protection for the warehouse and surrounding area. Working closely with contractors, we also installed new onsite piping to support Liberty’s future booster pump station.  The booster pump station will help support the needs of future development in this area.
  • Phase 2: Beginning in 2026, our team will connect the infrastructure at the new facilities to our existing water system. As we integrate the new infrastructure into our existing system, it will create a “looped” design that will allow water to flow in multiple directions, thereby creating redundancy, improving pressure, and boosting reliability. Looping also enhances water quality by reducing stagnation and lowering the risk of contamination. During this phase, additional hydrants and service connections will be added to further support the warehouse and any future neighbors.

This project exemplifies Liberty’s dedication to not only providing safe and reliable water service but also to supporting the economic development and wellbeing of our communities. We’re proud to help Apple Valley grow and prosper by providing essential services like water to support our current and future customers’ needs.
