How to Establish Water Service


Please Note: Liberty Utilities requires 24- hour notice to start water service

In order to establish service with Liberty Utilities we ask that you complete an application for service. Applications for new service can be completed over the phone by calling Customer Service at  1-800-782-2506 or by completing an application at our location listed below. 

Each individual on an application will be required to prove identification including their social security number and driver license number. Customers who are not able to provide a social security number or driver license number will need to provide two forms of identification (one must be a photo identification) from the list below: 

  • Valid Driver's License 
  • State Identification Card
  • Valid Passport 
  • Work Stub (current)
  • U.S. Military Id
  • Federal or State Tax Filing (recent filing)
  • Social Security Card
  • Employment Photo ID
  • Birth Certificate
  • Social Assistance ID Card
  • Certificate of Citizenship or Naturalization
  • Social Assistance Award Letter
  • Matrícula Consular de Alta Seguridad (MCAS) (Consular Identification Card)

If you are the property owner, we will ask that you show proof of ownership or proof of closing escrow.

If you rent the property, we ask that you show a lease/rental agreement and pay a deposit. 

Deposits to establish credit for new service will be up to twice the average monthly bill. If, however, you are the property owner or a former customer in good standing, we will waive the deposit.

By completing an application for water service and including your telephone number on that application, including any wireless telephone number, you understand and agree that Liberty Utilities or any company acting on its behalf, may use various dialing and communication methods to reach you at the telephone number(s) provided regarding your utility service. 

This includes but is not limited to dialing or texting your wireless telephone number either manually or through the use of automatic dialing technology and/or prerecorded messages.  
You further agree and understand that this, could result in charges to you by your wireless carrier, either manually or through the use of automatic dialing technology and/or prerecorded messages.
