Paying Your Bill

We offer many different ways to make payments. While most of the ways are free, some do incur a small processing fee. 

Explore the options below to help you find the best and most convenient way for you to pay your bill.

How Would You Like to Pay?


  • You can make a one-time payment using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover & American Express) online by clicking here or over the phone 24/7 at  1-800-727-5987. You do not need to log-in to pay with your credit card. Enter your full account number to make your payment.

    • Residential Customers: There is a  $1.75 processing fee charged by our vendor. We do not profit from this fee.
    • Commercial Customers: There is a $7.75 processing fee charged by our vendor. We do not profit from this fee.
  • There are multiple ways you can pay using your checking or savings account. Investment Savings accounts cannot be used. 

    1. Make a one-time payment
    You can make a one-time payment using a checking account online by clicking here or over the phone at 1-800-727-5987.
    Using this method will result in a processing fee charged by our payment vendor. We do not profit from this fee.

    • Residential Customers: There is a $1.75 processing fee charged by our vendor. We do not profit from this fee.
    • Commercial Customers: There is a $7.75 processing fee charged by our vendor. We do not profit from this fee.


    2. Set up automatic payments
    If you want to set up automatic payments using a checking account, please fill out the application found here. There is no fee for this service.

    3. Mail your payment to us
    Return the lower portion of your bill, along with a check or money order, in the envelope provided with your bill and mail it to:

  • For the health and safety of our communities, we have closed our walk-in customer service centers until further notice.
    Customers can continue to access drop boxes at our walk-in locations.

    Cash is also accepted at Liberty customer walk-in centers. There is no fee for this service.

    You can use cash to pay your bill at many authorized payment centers. Click the button below for a complete list in your area. Please only use authorized payment agents. Paying using other services may result in delays in posting your payments. There is no fee for this service.

    2. Use your bank’s online bill payment service 
    Most banks and credit unions offer bill payment services to their customers. Liberty Utilities can be set up as a Payee in the system.
    Contact your financial institution for more information.

      *Important: To locate authorized payment locations that do not charge a convenience fee, within the  Biller Search box you must input Liberty Utilities and select your State from the dropdown menu.

*Our North Lake Tahoe office is currently not accepting cash payments. Our South Lake Tahoe office is open for customers who would like to make cash payments.

Things to Keep in Mind:

Residential Customers
  • Depending on which payment method you choose, the processing time can vary from 1-10 days. If your due date is less than ten days away, we recommend using a payment method with a faster processing time, such as paying in person or over the phone.
  • If you are making a payment after receiving a past due notice, please call our customer service line at 1-800-727-5987 and provide a representative with your payment confirmation number to avoid disconnection.
  • Credit, ATM Debit, checking or savings account transactions have no minimum amount and $600.00 maximum. The system will accept up to 8 separate transactions per 26 day period, per account number.
  • Checks returned as non-sufficient funds (NSF) will incur a fee.
Commercial Customers
