All toys collected through the event will be gifted to local children and teens who otherwise may go without a gift during the holiday season.

Community members who attend the free event and donate an unwrapped toy will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, actors Robert Pine, Paul Linke and Larry Wilcox from the “CHIPS” television series, and Geri Jewell from TV’s “The Facts of Life.”

Toy donations will also be accepted at the Liberty Utilities Apple Valley office, located at 21760 Ottawa Road in Apple Valley. All donations collected by Liberty Utilities Apple Valley will be delivered by staff to the CHiPS for Kids Christmas Party.

“We encourage community members to open their hearts and donate this holiday season to ensure all of our local children have a gift to open during the holidays,” said Tony Penna, Vice President and General Manager of Liberty Utilities Apple Valley. “The smallest gift can mean the world to a child in need, and this annual event has made such a wonderful impact on the Apple Valley community over the years. Tom Schibusch and our area’s CHP officers deserve so much credit for the good they do through the CHiPS for Kids Toy Drive, and we are proud to support their efforts.”

“I’d like to thank Liberty Utilities Apple Valley and its employees for helping to promote this event,” said Schibusch. “Bring a toy, bring your friends and bring your holiday spirit. All toys that are collected at the event will be presented to our local CHP office, so all donations will benefit kids in our community.”
