FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LIBERTY UTILITIES BEGINS NEW CONSTRUCTION IN COMPTON
COMPTON, CA (DATE, 2018) – Liberty Utilities (Park Water) Corp. “Liberty Utilities” will soon break ground on a new reservoir and booster pump station on our property at 4206 E. Rosecrans Ave. in Compton.
The facility will allow us to reduce our water supply costs by transitioning towards increased groundwater pumping and decreased purchases of more expensive imported water. Groundwater is a preferred water supply source because recent regulations and legislative developments makes importing water unreliable and increasingly expensive.
“We are excited to start this project in Compton, which echoes our commitment to upgrading our infrastructure to ensure the continued delivery of safe, reliable drinking water to our customers.” said Frank Heldman, Director of Operations for Liberty Utilities Park Water. “We will attempt to limit any inconvenience to customers, and we appreciate the community’s anticipated patience throughout the project.”
During this project, Liberty Utilities will improve the curb appeal of the station by landscaping with low-water-use plants, paving, and installing gravel to eliminate weeds. We worked closely with the City of Compton for approvals and will also include the City of Compton seal and logo on the reservoir.
Although we do not anticipate any disruption to residents’ service, Liberty Utilities will directly notify customers at least 24 hours prior to any temporary service interruptions during the construction period. Liberty Utilities is using the contractor, professional enterprises, who has worked in residential and commercial areas for many decades and are experienced in minimizing disruption to the neighborhood. Our contractors are required to comply with the City of Compton’s noise ordinance. Liberty Utilities will make every effort to minimize the impact on the surrounding community during the construction of this project. Please contact our Customer Service at 1-800-727-5987 if you are experiencing any issues with your service.
