Work done during planned outages is to improve/update infrastructure and increase system reliabiliy or make needed repairs. Customers affected by planned outages will receive notification via text, email, and/or voice messages approximately 48 hours prior to the planned outage. There is a planned outage in the South Lake Tahoe area from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, December 5 to set a new pole and transformer.

There will be a series of short, planned outages in the Portola, Cemetery, Sierra Brooks, Hobart, Prosser and Stampede areas from Monday, December 7 to Thursday, December 10 for drop and pick switching.

  • The first outage on Monday, December 7 will start around 8:00 AM and last approximately 30 - 60 minutes in the Portola, Cemetery, Sierra Brooks, Hobart, Prosser and Stampede areas.
  • The first outage on Monday, December 7 will be from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the Russel Valley area.
  • The second outage on Monday, December 7 will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Portola, Cemetery, Sierra Brooks, Hobart, Prosser and Stampede areas.
  • The third outage on Thursday, December 10 will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Portola, Cemetery, Sierra Brooks, Hobart, Prosser, Stampede, and Russel Valley areas.

There is a planned outage in the Tahome area from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 8 to install new primary wire.
