Stop Water Service - Residential - California Water - Liberty
To stop service, customers must contact our customer service department at 1-800-782-2506. Please note we require a minimum of 48 hours notice. Termination requests are not accepted after 4:00 p.m. daily. Terminations cannot be requested for weekends or major holidays.
Our Customer Service team will require the following information when you call:
- Requested date of termination
- Service address
- Your name and the name of the account holder
- A phone number and mailing address where we may contact you after service is stopped
Water service will be turned off any time from 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please ensure that you will not be needing water service on the day of termination.
Disconnection For Non-payment
If the water service is disconnected for non-payment of a bill, we require payment of the bill plus a reconnection/disconnection fee and a deposit equal to twice the average bill. These must be paid in full before restoration of water service. These fees must be paid in cash or money order in our office, or by credit or debit card over the phone or through our website. No personal checks will be accepted. Payments must be made and our office notified no later than 4:00 p.m. to have service restored on the same day. Service will be restored on the next business day when payment is received after 4:00 PM.
