Liberty's Resiliency Work in Topaz

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide safe, reliable electric service, Liberty is continuing its system-wide resiliency program in 2025. This April, crews completed work in the Topaz area that aims to strengthen infrastructure, decrease potential service disruptions, and reduce the risk of wildfire.

Liberty crews completed work in three weeks despite terrain that ranged from steep slopes to soggy ground that made it challenging to install electric poles. However, Liberty’s dedicated team persevered and worked with local property owners to safely and efficiently complete the installation and/or replacement of nearly 60 electric poles and installed approximately 40,000 feet of overhead wire. These key upgrades will reduce the potential for outages and increase the overall durability of the electric system, no matter the time of year or weather conditions.

To minimize disruptions during the work, Liberty coordinated scheduled outages and adhered to a strict schedule so that work would be completed before the critical flood irrigation season for the agriculture in the area.

Liberty is proud to serve the Topaz community and remains focused on building a more resilient energy future for its customers.
