Every year, the Liberty team works hard to keep your lights on and the community safe.

In 2025, our team was busy making real improvements that allow us to continue to provide safe and reliable electric service, reduce wildfire risk, and maintain the health of our local environment.

Over the course of the year, our team:

Performed over 1,700 miles of inspections

Our crews performed a wide variety of inspections to gain a better understanding of the condition of our electrical system, identify potential concerns and any needed repairs or upgrades. These inspections were crucial, as they help us to proactively identify and correct potential issues and keep the electrical system running smoothly.

Replaced about 1,000 poles

Replaced electric poles and associated hardware that have reached the end of their useful lives.  This helped to improve the resilience and reliability of our electric system. It also provides an opportunity to increase conductor spacing and upgrade to modern, more advanced equipment.

Upgraded over 12 miles of wire

Underground wire was added and covered conductors installed to reduce wildfire risk and increase service reliability.

Completed over 300 projects

Our team completed projects across our service area to support our customers and strengthen our system. Nearly 200 of these projects focused on upgrading and maintaining critical electric equipment. All of the completed projects improve reliability, reduce wildfire risk, and keep our system ready to serve our communities safely.

Strengthened our substations

Substations and protective relays are essential to delivering safe and reliable electric service. In 2025, our team completed deployment of our sensitive relay profile program, an important step that helps reduce wildfire risk and strengthens system protection. We also performed quarterly substation inspections, repaired voltage regulators, replaced substation battery banks, and upgraded security fencing to help keep our facilities secure and dependable. These improvements help to increase service reliability and reduce wildfire risk.

Helped to maintain healthy forests on over 350 acres

Our team treated vegetation on over 350 acres under and around our infrastructure and removed dead or dying trees for nearly 400 miles of our electric system. This work not only helps us to continue delivering safe and reliable electric service; it also reduces the risk of wildfire by removing potential fire hazards and supports a healthier forest by making room for new, healthy tree growth.

Completed about 5,000 repairs

Our team worked to fix these issues before they could result in larger concerns and impacts. Whether they are larger or smaller, these repairs helped us to keep everything working as it should.

All these efforts add up to a safer, more resilient electric system, and we have already seen the results. For the fourth year in a row, in 2025, outages were shorter and occurred less frequently. This represents a more than 45% improvement.

Every inspection, upgrade, and repair that our team performed this year was an investment in your safety, comfort, and peace of mind. The work that our team performed this year has lasting impacts, as it allows us to continue delivering the electric service you depend on, both now and in the future.
