Every year, our community comes together to support local students and their energy and ambition, which can help shape the future of the Tahoe region. At this year’s South Lake Tahoe High School scholarship workshop, hundreds of students gathered to explore career opportunities and imagine what’s possible. The event was more than just a chance to learn about scholarships; it was a celebration of the unique potential each student brings to our community.
Local professionals, including three of our Liberty team members, joined the workshop to share real-world stories and offer encouragement. In addition to sharing career advice, they also sparked inspiration and helped students see themselves as future leaders in the electric utility sector and beyond. The message was clear: our region’s strength lies in the talent and determination of our youth.
Thanks to the ongoing support from community members and organizations, scholarships are opening doors for students pursuing higher education or trade school and utility-related degrees. These investments aren’t just about education, they’re about building a brighter, more resilient future for students and the community.
