Why does Liberty replace electrical poles?

Liberty makes prudent investments in our electrical system throughout the year to increase service reliability and reduce the risk of an electrical infrastructure-ignited wildfire.

Replacing electrical poles not only helps to increase service reliability, but also supports Liberty’s wildfire mitigation efforts. Our crews may replace or add poles to support heavier covered conductor and/or to reduce the distance between poles, which reduces the amount of sag in the line. This work helps to improve reliability, safety, and reduce the potential of a wildfire ignition.
