From August through October, Liberty will be working on the Angora Ridge Project in support of Liberty’s Wildfire Mitigation Plan. The Angora Ridge distribution line is 1.8 miles and runs from Fallen Leaf Lake to Angora Lakes.

Over the course of this project, Liberty will replace the existing wire with covered conductor and remove 28 aging poles and 169 trees. Liberty will then install 4 new transformers and 64 new poles to support the weight of the heavier covered conductor. For areas inaccessible by ground, helicopters will be used to help install poles and remove trees.

The Angora Ridge Project is another example of how Liberty is working to improve the safety and reliability of the service provided to customers.
