Flying in upgrades to protect what matters most.
Liberty recently completed a major infrastructure project near Woodfords that aims to strengthen reliability and reduce wildfire risk in an area with dense forest and challenging terrain.
Crews replaced more than two miles of aging overhead wire with more modern covered conductor, helping prevent contact with vegetation, wildlife, and debris. The result is a more resilient system and a lower risk of wildfire ignition.
The project also included installing 48 new poles to better support the upgraded system and improve long-term durability.
We appreciate the Woodfords and Markleeville communities for their patience during helicopter work and planned outages as we completed these important upgrades.
