Liberty's Diamond Valley Road Rebuild Delivers Enhanced Reliability and Safety.
Liberty is committed to delivering safe and reliable electric service to customers, which was again demonstrated when Liberty crews completed the Diamond Valley Road rebuild project.
In just three months, Liberty replaced two miles of overhead conductor (wire) and drilled deep through lava-capped granite to install 39 new power poles. the granite-laden landscape presented a unique challenge, but to better serve customers in the Markleeville area and the Washoe Tribe, upgrading and hardening the circuit was well worth it.
Liberty completed the project and developed a more resilient power grid designed to minimize the potential of outages and withstand the weather elements during both winter and fire seasons.
Liberty continues to improve the reliability of the electric service you depend on, while simultaneously reducing the risk of wildfire ignition.
